About Us
Roy Hunter Builders is a family owned and operated company that has been in business for 18 years. Our team consists of Roy and his two sons Troy and Adrian. Roy began his career as a carpenter and joiner before becoming head supervisor for medium sized building company. After 7 years with this company Roy went into a partnership and created Hunter and Perry Pty Ltd. He ran Hunter and Perry alongside his partner for 16 years before his partner retired. This is when Roy Hunter Builders was created.
Troy has always worked for Roy. At the age of 13 he starting out doing weekend work cleaning sites or installing stormwater or whatever jobs were available. When he completed high school he began working full time for Hunter and Perry as an apprentice Carpenter and Joiner. During this time he worked alongside most of the trades getting an understanding of the construction process as a whole. With 21 years in the industry now Troy takes care of site supervision, client liaising, scheduling and quoting.
Adrian also began working part time for Roy as a teenager on weekends. But when he left high school he pursued a career in the marine industry completing an apprenticeship as a Marine Engineer. After 4 years in the industry he decided it was not what he wanted to do and came to work with Roy and Troy at Roy Hunter Builders. Adrian then completed an apprenticeship in Carpentry and Joinery where he also spent time working with all the trades to gain an understanding of the construction process as a whole. With 14 years in the industry Adrian takes care of site supervision, client liaising, maintenance and accounts.
